Please accept this short message as a respectful reminder to complete the FDMS Governance Model Survey.

The survey is “live” (or open online) until this Friday at midnight, March 26, 2021. Your responses will be kept confidential by the FDMS Team.

At the core of a renewed Kwantlen Custom Governance Code is arriving at a governance model that is reflective of the wishes of membership. To provide greater clarity and further input towards the development of a draft Governance Code, FDMS has developed a Governance Model Survey.

Once the survey has been responded to by members, FDMS will analyze the responses and develop a summary report that will be used to guide the development of a Governance Code moving forward.

The purpose of this survey is to seek feedback from members as to how you want to have the Kwantlen Chief & Council table structured recognizing that every organization requires a large degree of accountability and transparency as part of its governance model to be strong and prosperous.

A governance model outlines how people in authoritative positions hold themselves accountable to their members and stakeholders. Governance models incorporate ethics, integrity, and a responsible code of conduct for all leaders, volunteers, and workers.

The survey is “live” (or open online)  until midnight, March 26, 2021. Your responses will be kept confidential by the FDMS Team.

RE: Governance Update – notice of upcoming Governance Model Survey and upcoming engagement sessions

We wish to provide the following updates on this important matter for Kwantlen.

A report summarizing community feedback from 76 Kwantlen member participants (from 2020) to the Third Questionnaire on topics for the Kwantlen Custom Governance Code Engagement Process is being uploaded to the Kwantlen website in the Member’s Only section for reference.

At the core of a renewed Kwantlen Custom Governance Code is arriving at a governance model that is reflective of the wishes of membership. To provide greater clarity and further input towards the development of a draft Governance Code, and as outlined at the last Community Engagement Session held in December 2020, FDMS is developing a Governance Model Survey. This survey will present governance model options that have been surfaced by members through the engagement to date. Once the survey has been responded to by members, FDMS will analyze the responses and develop a summary report that will be used to guide the development of a governance code moving forward.

FDMS projects this survey to be launched by February 15, 2021. FDMS will also further advise of further community engagement sessions. We thank you for your ongoing participation in this important governance work.
